Biography

Sarah Muzaki is a qualified Social Scientist, Program Manager and Gender Specialist. With a Masters in Women and Gender Studies, plus a degree in Social Sciences (Political Science and Public Administration) both of Makerere University in Uganda, Sarah also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management (PPM) of Uganda Management Institute (UMI). Sarah further holds certificates in managing skilled teams, Local Economic Development, and Participatory Gender Auditing of organisaitons, plus on-job training in Organisational Development and systems strengthening. Ms Muzaki has worked with reputable national and International organisations holding positions of Program Director, Executive Director, Head of Programs, Program Advisor, Program Manager, and Researcher. Her work experience is on various development areas with mainly women and youth economic development through community level cooperatives, and livelihoods development as areas of focus. Sarah has further held leadership positions as a Board member and director with various organisations. Key of these include; Transparency International Uganda (TIU); the Forum for African Women Educationalists – Uganda Chapter (FAWEU); the Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF); the National Propagation Team on Local Economic Development; and the National Gender Resource Team (NGRT) in Uganda.
