TAPBDS organised a youth-mechanisation linkage event in Nyantare, Nyansha (Kasulu MC, Kigoma Region) on 7th June 2025.
It brought together 40 youth (30 female, 10 male) and 3 mechanisation suppliers (Patrick General Supply, Mbwilambwila Company Limited and Subatsu Milling Company). Youth participated in live demonstrations of sunflower processing machines, multi-crop threshers, seed planters, seed-fertiliser, combination planters and top-dressing fertilizer applicators.
Demonstrations help to equip the youth with skills of operating the equipment, learn the business model and facilitate easy access to the equipment. In this event, a total of 13 orders for equipment were confirmed (10 MCTs and 3 planters). This translates into not least 33 direct jobs once the equipment is delivered and starts operating.
