Joseph Migunda

Joseph is a seasoned BDS Provider and enterprise development specialist with over a decade of dedicated service to SMEs. As the CEO of TAPBDS, he leads a team of 20 professionals, including staff, consultants, and associates, collaborating with partners across private, public, and third sectors to deliver business development services, program design, strategic consulting, management training, and investment advice. Since 2011, Joseph has been a company Director, providing services to clients in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. He earned his Master’s Degree in Community Economic Development from the Open University of Tanzania and is a certified ILO-SIYB Master Trainer, with additional certification in Food Systems Development and Making Market Systems Work for the Poor.

Malega Kalembire

Mr. Malega has 12 years of experience providing SME’s development trainings and coaching, design and managing SMEs development programs in the areas of startups, expansion, market access, market surveys and strategy development. He also supports SMEs on leadership, international market access as well as import and export standards and arrangements. Mr. Malega is an Associate and Co-founder of TAPBDS Co. Ltd. where he works as Program manager, Enterprise Development Consultant, Trainer and Coach. He is holder of Master’s Degree in International Trade (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade – Deemed University). He is also a Committee Member of AfcFTA from Tanzania.

Edwin Mengistu

Mengistu has 13 years’ experience in Training, Consulting, and Mentoring and Project management. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Custom and Tax management of Institute of Tax Administration. He owns International Certificate on Market Access for Food Security (Wangeningeni UR, Netherlands) and Certified SIYB Trainer – ILO for SMEs capacity building. His expertise includes Business Management, Market access, Tax advisory, Financial Analysis and Linkage, Project Planning and Management, Financial Products Development, Internal Control System for corporates and enterprise compliance support. Mengistu has worked with as a technical facilitator with AGRA, ILO, TBL, Technoserve, Netherlands Development Organization (SNV), and NEEC, ACELI Africa and AMDT projects.

Theresia Kato

Theresia is an experienced BDS Expert with over 12 years in the provision of capacity building and business coaching. She holds Masters of Finance and Investment from the Institute of Finance Management. She is the Head of Compliance and Liaison Services. Since 2011, she has managed & coordinated numerous business and research related projects. She is also a Certified ILO-SIYB Trainer and BDS Provider with essential skills for design, development, implementation and evaluation of enterprise development programs. She has a work history with International Labour Organization (ILO), SNV, Tanzania Breweries Limited, and AGRA in facilitating business management training, coaching and mentoring to existing and new entrepreneurs. She has worked also with Synovate, FSDT, PCI& Ministry of education Tanzania and AMDT. She is also a Certified Scope Insight Assessor for Agri SMEs Bankability Metrics.

Deodati Bernad

Deodati has remarkable skills and experience on developing and managing social and business related solutions. He has about 13 years in the field with more expertise on business systems development, financial analysis and BDS support. Mr. Deodati has been working with various interventions in solving SMEs and producer groups’ access to finance, business capacity building and linkages to market access. He has been providing expertise as lead trainer for youths, women and enterprises to improve business operations and structures such as financing and markets development. He has provided immense support on SMEs strategic plans, business plans and management systems development. Mr. Deodati was also engaged on the development and strengthen business sub-consortia i.e. Off-takers, FOs, Input suppliers and service providers that works well through partnerships e.g AGRA PIATA and TAIDI projects. Mr. Deodati is a Master‘s holder in International Business of the University of Dar es Salaam and a Certified SCOPEinsight SMEs and FOs Bankability Metrics Assessor.

Nyakainja Manyanya

Nyakainja Manyama is holding Master’s on Project Management of the Open University of Tanzania. She is a certified ILO-SIYB Trainer with more than 12 years of experience working on provision of BDS services to accelerate growth of SMEs in Tanzania.  She has been providing training and coaching enterprises on Soft skills, communication, business& Investment Pitching, business management, manages online business marketing and client service management. She has been engaged in various projects as a facilitator include PIATA, ILO, Asylum Access, NEEC, TBL Retail development program, SVN the Netherlands, DBNET and ACELI coaching program. Nyakainja has been a key person for monitoring and evaluation at TAPBDS projects and operations, she is also the Head of Coaching and Mentoring unit.

Glory Kalyoto

Gloria is a certified business development services provider, certified by International Labour Organization (ILO) as Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) expert and trainer. SIYB is a material based program for emerging, growing and well established business entities assisting potential and existing business entities from all industries. She is also a Certified Public Accountant registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors as well as a Certified Professional Banker registered with Tanzania Institute of Bankers. Further to that, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from University of Dar es Salaam. Gloria have been working as a financial analyst and business consultant for more than 10 years with multisectoral entities particularly in areas of business formalization, operations & growth, Accounting and overall compliance

Salma Mazana is a Marketing expert working as Corporate executive, developing successful marketing strategies and transform marketing efforts to revenues in profit growth oriented organizations. She has about 10 years in the marketing field with more expertise on provision of business development support. She has been working on delivering various interventions in SMEs business capacity building, linkages to market and finance access. Salma has been providing expertise as lead trainer for youths, women groups and enterprises to improve business operations  and Governance. Salma holds a Master degree in Business Marketing Management of St Augustine University Tanzania.

Octavian Pastory

Octavian serves as the Procurement Officer at TAPBDS, bringing seven years of diverse experience across SMEs and large-scale projects. His expertise lies in supply chain optimization and vendor management, with a proven track record of designing strategic procurement frameworks that boost operational efficiency and drive cost savings. Skilled in developing robust procurement systems and mentoring teams to align with organizational objectives, Octavian specializes in implementing sustainable sourcing strategies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, supplemented by a certification in Advanced Procurement Practices, providing him with the expertise to deliver impactful procurement solutions across industries.

Mseth Mwita

Mr Mseti has remarkable skills and experience on Extension for rural development, Horticultural crops management and Business related solutions in farming. He has about 8 years in the field with more expertise on Design and establishing demonstration plots, Training SHFs on Good Agronomic Practices, Building capacity to Field Officers, Youth and women engaged in Agriculture, Increasing productivity (yield) and income to rural livelihoods by ensuring Food Security and considering Climatic change and Business Development Services. Mr. Mseti has been working with various interventions in solving SHFs and producers groups’ access to hybrids seeds,fertilizers,pesticides and linkage to structured markets for business.Off-takers and FOs linkage,Off-takers and Fis linkage and FOs and FIs linkage in financial support. He also engaged on the development and strengthening business sub-consortia ie off-takers, FOs, Input suppliers and service providers through partnerships e.g TAIDI Project. Mr. Mseti is a Diploma holder of Science in Horticulture from Horti-Tengeru College Ausha and Diploma in Secondary Education from Monduli Teachers College Arusha.

Evangelista Gilbert

Evangelista is a Field Supervisor at TAPBDS Company ltd. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication from St Augustine University of Tanzania.  Evangelista has over five years of experience in field research & project implementation activities. Before Joining TAPBDS, Evangelista worked as a Research assistant at Busara center for behavioral economics in projects across different regions in Tanzania. Evangelista has also worked with Laterate Tanzania as Field officer and has experience of working in remote areas across the country.

Fredy Wilson Kamande has accumulated a 7 years experience working with Agri SMEs, SHFs in agribusiness. With expertise in cooperative societies development with a focus on crafting effective business models. Proficient in structuring and coaching Cooperative entities to thrive. Specialized in the strategic formation of business models to enhance sustainability and success in cooperative sector. Fredy is a holder of BSc. in irrigation and water resources engineering from Sokoine University of agriculture and a certificate of basics of co-operation and  co-operative business development
