TAPBDS facilitated a targeted training session under the YEFFA Project, bringing together Community Development Officers (CDOs) from Chamwino District Council and Dodoma Municipal Council, along with representatives from youth-led SMEs. The session focused on enhancing youth understanding of the procedures required to access the 10% council loans dedicated to youth, women, and people with disabilities.
Youth groups in attendance, such as Tunu Africa Youth Group, Young World Feeders, Amani na Upendo, Women Rise Youth Group, and Wendo Youth Group, had previously applied for financing to acquire agricultural machinery but were unsuccessful. This session provided an opportunity to address gaps in their applications, including improving their group constitutions (katiba), strengthening internal record-keeping, and aligning with application requirements.
Officials from three government authorities offered guidance, while Imaratech introduced opportunities to access multi-crop threshers to support youth-led agribusiness ventures.
The session, which involved 33 participants (21 male, 12 female), is part of TAPBDS’s ongoing commitment to equipping youth with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to secure finance and scale their agricultural enterprises.
