Telling someone to “start a business” only goes so far. Real empowerment means giving someone skills she can actually use, the confidence to make her own decisions, and the freedom that comes from standing on solid ground in her work and her life. That’s the spirit behind the Women in E-Mobility Project, led by OVAH and funded by GIZ under the WE4D Programme.

TAPBDS was proud to facilitate a three-day training for 50 women entrepreneurs working in electric mobility, going beyond the usual entrepreneurship playbook to cover financial literacy, Gender Based Violence awareness, personal safety and self-defense, and hands on electric mobility and vehicle mechanics.

A woman who understands her money, knows how to keep herself safe, and can troubleshoot her own vehicle isn’t just running a business she’s building real confidence and independence. And that showed. Over three days, all 50 participants stayed fully engaged, asking hard questions, pushing past their comfort zones, and soaking up new knowledge with a hunger to grow that no curriculum can manufacture it has to already be there, and it was.

We’re grateful to OVAH and GIZ for trusting TAPBDS with this work. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when business training doesn’t stand alone but sits alongside safety, technical skill, and financial confidence because at TAPBDS, we build people, not just programmes. Whether it’s entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, GBV prevention, self-defense, green business, or workforce development, our goal is always the same: to help people carry what they’ve learned past the classroom and into their everyday lives.
