Welcome to an overview of the Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP) project implemented by TAPBDS in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC). MARKUP is a regional development initiative that aims to contribute to the economic growth of the East African Community (EAC) by supporting increased exports, promoting regional integration, and facilitating access to European markets. In Tanzania, TAPBDS plays a pivotal role in the MARKUP Access to Finance component by assisting SMEs and cooperatives to enhance their business operations, secure financing, and expand their regional and international market presence. Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP
MARKUP is a regional development initiative implemented by the International Trade Center (ITC) that aims to contribute to the economic growth of the East African Community (EAC) by supporting increased exports, promoting regional integration and access to European markets. In Tanzania TAPBDS implements the MARKUP Access to Finance component by assisting SMEs/Cooperatives to improve their business operations, secure financing and expand their regional and international markets. To date, 70 SMEs/Cooperatives in coffee, tea, spices and avocado were supported.
