TAPBDS in partnership with Kilimo Lengo Company organized a Business Model and Route-to-Market Clinic for youth-led agri-SMEs engaged in mechanization. The session aimed to equip participants with practical business skills and market approaches to help them operate profitable and reliable last-mile enterprises.
The clinic emphasized execution over theory, covering topics such as unit economics and pricing, commission structures, customer acquisition funnels, after-sales and spare-parts logistics, service-level standards, WhatsApp selling playbooks, and basic financial discipline.
As a result, 22 participants—mainly agro-dealers and Village-Based Advisors—signed MoUs to become Kilimo Lengo Sales Agents. These agents will establish multiple service points across Singida, enabling faster response times, better machine uptime, and higher productivity for smallholder farmers.
The group included 15 women and 7 men, reflecting TAPBDS’s ongoing commitment to inclusive growth. Field coordination for the clinic was led by Mr. Kaganya, TAPBDS Field Officer.
