TAPBDS successfully conducted a Business Model Development and Management Training in Karagwe District, Kagera Region, bringing together enthusiastic youth from six surrounding districts. The training featured 45 participants  including 29 young women and 16 young men alongside two machinery suppliers and two representatives from Local Government Authorities (LGAs).

The sessions were highly interactive and participatory, creating a platform for youth to exchange ideas and explore real-world agribusiness opportunities. A key highlight was the introduction of affordable irrigation technologies, with systems ranging from TZS 360,000 to TZS 1,200,000, tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers.

Participants showed a strong appetite for entrepreneurship in the mechanization space, with many expressing interest in becoming local agents for machinery suppliers within their communities. The training marked another milestone in TAPBDS’s ongoing efforts to foster youth-led business solutions that enhance productivity and unlock value across agricultural value chains.
